Middleton, WI, June 10, 2010 — Capitol Insurance Companies (Capitol) is pleased to announce the enhanced availability of accident insurance products for athletic and non-athletic activities for both adults and youths through a newly designed quick quote feature on Capitol’s agent portal. The quick quote feature allows agents and brokers to rate, quote and bind coverage in a fast and easy manner. Capitol has been writing accident coverage for many years and these products are available directly to all Capitol agents and brokers.

The highlights of this product are as follows:

Coverage is written on admitted paper;
Flexible policy limit and deductible options;
Coverage is available on either a primary or excess basis;
Minimum premiums as low as $150;
Claim management services handled by Capitol; and
Competitive agency commissions.

Accident insurance is available to protect participants against accidental death, dismemberment or injury as well as providing coverage for the associated medical expenses. The products are available to insure a broad range of athletic and non-athletic activities for both adults and youths. Some of the eligible sports activities include baseball, softball, basketball, archery, dance studios, martial arts, football, lacrosse, hockey, skating, polo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Some of the eligible non-sports activities include Junior ROTC, daycare, sports and summer camps and special events.

Although Capitol’s accident product can be written on a standalone basis, the primary focus will be to enable agents and brokers to place this coverage with us in conjunction with their sports participants’ liability and special events coverages.
